On April 11, 2024, a joint lecture was held at the Faculty of Management and Marketing with Olga Kardashevska, a representative of the National Bank of Ukraine, head of strategic planning of the Department of Strategy and Development.
The event was held as part of the course “National Economy” of the Department of International Economics, taught by Olena Korogodova, Ph.D., associate professor of the Department of International Economics, for students of the “International Economy” educational program, 051 Economics. Students of the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Enterprise Management as well as teachers of the Faculty of Management and Marketing joined the Zoom conference.
Students gained unique knowledge about the role of central banks in modern national economies, in particular, about the influence of the NBU on the financial system and economic stability. The lecture covered the latest changes in the policy of the NBU, its cooperation with other financial institutions and monetary policy instruments. This allowed students to understand how central banks contribute to the efficiency of the economy and the stability of the country.
Such activities are very important for students, as they deepen the understanding of economic processes. The knowledge received from Olga Kardashevska was consolidated the next day at a practical session in the form of a business game.
